 Mission Statement The primary mission of the Kewanee Police Department is the protection of life and property.  We are committed to maintaining peace and order while respecting individual rights, human dignity, and community values.  This Department recognizes that it cannot stand alone in it's efforts to suppress crime and protect our community residents. In that regard, we will work closely with residents, community groups, other law enforcement agencies and city departments to better serve the citizens of Kewanee.  We will strive for personal and professional excellence in all that we do.  We believe that integrity is the basis of community trust and we will hold ourselves to the highest standards of moral and ethical behavior.
